Three adolescents, aged 12 to 13, were sued on charge of attempt to rape a five-year-old in Manirampur upazila of Jashore.
The victim’s father filed the case with Manirampur Police Station today, our Benapole correspondent reports quoting Officer-in-Charge of the police station Rafiqul Islam.
Police are conducting drives to arrest the three, the OC said.
The parents of the three accused fled soon after the incident occurred in Palashi Pashchimpara yesterday afternoon.
The boys asked the girl to play with them but they took her to a nearby garden and tried to rape her, the victim’s family alleged.
The trio left the scene immediately after a neighbour saw them and shouted.
Sub-inspector Golam Rasul, in-charge of Khodapara Police camp, said police found evidence of the incident when they visited the spot and talked to the victim and her relatives.
